UCSF: Committed to the City

There's no question that UCSF has had a major impact on the City by the Bay. As San Francisco's 2nd largest employer, UCSF has had a personal effect on a huge number of SF residents. But employment isn't the only way UCSF has made their mark on the City. To demonstrate to the world some of the other ways they've touched their local neighborhood, UCSF came to B'stro.

To spread the word of UCSF's local impact, B'stro created UCSF: Committed to the City. This interactive map feature lives in the news section of the university's website, and for good reason. By mousing over spotlighted regions of a map of San Francisco, site visitors can discover the latest ways that UCSF has touched both the local community and San Francisco at large.

By interacting with our Committed to the City feature, site visitors can reveal the latest articles, videos, slideshows and audio clips demonstrating UCSF's impact on the community. Multi-media news items included in this feature demonstrate UCSF's cutting edge research, public vaccinations, outreach programs and more, and map them by geographic region. Many users of this feature have been surprised to learn just how in touch with the City UCSF truly is - and discovering this involvement in a fun, interactive map made that discovery all the more enjoyable.
