Shaktea Website

Shaktea is a Vancouver-based boutique tearoom that provides a diverse selection of specialized tea from around the world. With the intention of enhancing their brand image and promoting the tearoom itself, Shaktea turned to B’stro for a website design that not only conveyed the exotic and invigorating nature of their products but also communicated their guru-like expertise in loose leaf teas.

With a name inspired by the Hindu Goddess of divine feminine energy, B’stro used rich brown textures and light citrus type to give Shaktea a decadent, cultural and ethnic feel. Close-up tealeaf images then provided a simple and elegant final touch.

To accommodate the many different types of tea available at the store, B’stro also built a navigational library where each tea type could be categorized and sorted into various tea genres.

The interior of Shaktea is relaxed and calm; a space that acts as a “spa” for the soul. The website reflects the same tranquil energy and tone of the store environment and just like the Hindu goddess, Shakti, it brings a sense of divine harmony unmatched by any other deity…or tearoom competitor.
