Queer Film Festival 2009 Trailer
The Vancouver Queer Film Festival (VQFF) is Vancouver’s second largest film festival, and Western Canada’s largest queer arts event. Impressed with the work provided for them in 2008, festival organizers turned to B’stro again to create the film fest’s entire 2009 advertising campaign. On top of posters, a website refresh and a parade float; Creative B’stro developed a short promotional trailer to increase awareness of the event and publicize the campaign as a whole. The commercial was featured at the festival itself as well as on the VQFF website, VQFF YouTube channel, OutTV and a large video screen on the corner Robson and Granville in downtown Vancouver.B’stro not only developed the initial film concept and script, but also took charge of casting, make-up and working alongside a videographer to ensure a polished final delivery. The effects of Creative B’stro’s marketing efforts far exceeded VQFF’s expectations. Just take a look at the numbers:
12,885: the number of attendees at the 2009 film fest
53: the percentage that festival attendance has increased in the past 3 years
1,500: the number of YouTube views our TV commercial received in the first few weeks since its debut
0: the number of popsicles harmed in the making of our marketing collateral
