Lydia Ellison and Sarah Lagrotteria are the stylish, erudite food lovers behind Apples & Onions in L.A. They host unforgettable private parties and events; sell tantalizing goodies; and act as personal chefs to some very big names in Hollywood. They’re the kind of women you would love to hate… if they weren’t so down to earth and impossibly gracious.

As Apples & Onions began to grow (and grow), Lydia and Sarah decided they needed a website that would get them noticed. In a town where image is everything, that meant creating more than just a pretty look. It meant creating a distinct personality. So B’stro encouraged our favorite gourmets to share theirs.

Even though Apples & Onions are just starting out, B’stro created a site that makes them look established and polished. We gave them space to tell their stories and share their passion for food; and we programmed in intuitive e-commerce functionality. We also helped them with their product packaging and gave a face to their recipe blog (which has rapidly become a destination for wanna-be Barefoot Contessa’s everywhere.)

As a “Thank-You”(told you they were classy), the delicious duo came to our San Francisco office and designed a very special event for B’stro’s Anniversary party. B’stro staffers were treated to a soup-to-nuts demonstration of how to host a once-in-a-lifetime evening. Sarah and Lydia even created a signature 3rd Anniversary cocktail for us.
